Dado que la gente pregunta acerca de lo que ocurre al final y por qué, os lo explicaré: Todo comenzó cuando Kratos abrió por primera vez la caja de Pandora en God of War I. Los males encerrados fueron puestos en libertad. En lugar de tomar el mundo otra vez,infecto los dioses y los transformó. Esta es la razón por la que los dioses parecían estar más mal en God of War II. Cada uno de ellos estaba infectado con uno de los males de la caja de Pandora. Zeus estaba infectado con el miedo. Este ma lllevó Zeus a matar a Kratos, temía que su hijo se volvería contra él, al igual que Zeus se había vuelto contra Kronos. Cuando el cuadro fue creado, Atenea temía lo que podría suceder si se abria la caja. Así que convocó a la esperanza y la metio en la caja. Esta fue la energia que utikizo Kratos para matar a Ares. Pero después los dioses se negaron a tomar el camino de sus pesadillas.la esperanza se convirtió y se bloqueo por la culpa de Kratos y de sus pensamientos. Y así que bolqueron la caja para que el no fuera capaz de usarla de nuevo. Sin embargo, nadie era consciente de que esto volveria a ocurrir,salvo Atenea,que pensaba que Kratos absorberia los males de la caja de Pandora para matar a Ares, sin saber que los dioses estaban infectados con estos poderes malignos ". Es por eso que le dijo a Kratos para encontrar la caja de Pandora en el comienzo de God of War III. Quería Kratos para abrir la caja para derrotar a Zeus.
