AAIA is the the Tahitian name for a white bird which has a an important significance in the ancient Maohi culture as this bird indicates the presence of the MANA ... the all powerful life force highly respected in Polynesia ... it was whilst taking these photographs of Eyanne on a black sand beach in Tahiti that two of these white birds suddenly appeared above our heads and circled for several minutes ... which for us was a very good sign or omen ... hence the name of this bird became the name of the film. The story deals with a dream of the Dolphin, which was the first European ship to arrive in Tahiti in 1767, when the island was claimed by the British Captain Samuel Wallace and named King Georges Island and was integrated into the British Empire in honor of King George III of Great Britain who was the reigning monarch of the empire at that time. Soon after the instruments opened their doors, the Sun began performing for SDO with this beautiful prominence eruption. This AIA data is from March 30, 2010, showing a wavelength band that is centered around 304 ?. This extreme ultraviolet emission line is from singly ionized Helium, or He II, and corresponds to a temperature of approx. 50000 degrees Celsius. AIA caught this beautiful prominence eruption only a few days after its doors were opened. The movie wobbles at the end because AIAs image stabilization system wasnt fully activated yet. Without the full stabilization capability, AIA would not be able to see the Sun at such high resolution. The actual wobble was extremely small - imagine a period in a newspaper seen from 100 meters away. Now move that period over a couple of words.
